Free Salad Tomatoes!

WILL MY AMAZING FINDS never cease? Now it's free "salad tomatoes" from Morrisons supermarket. I found so many my fridge is groaning under the weight. I bought a cheap but not horrible margherita pizza reduced to £1 and pizzazzed it up with these and red pepper shards. It came out very nice indeed.

Clearblue pregnancy tests cost £11.99 from my methadone chemists; so I was thinking of starting a carboot stall selling all the various crap I've collected over the months. I have lantern-style candle holders. A Scrabble-like game in French. Lots and lots of granny-style faux cut glass ashtrays (actually I need all those). And a joblot of dreadful but nearly brand new chicklit novels about "my best friend's hilariously disastrous marriage" and other subjects I cannot stand.

Spherical says hello. She is about to get cleaned out tonight, which I was putting off doing as she made herself a mega-cosy nest she will be incredibly annoyed to see bulldozed... (poor Spherical) ~ only it reeks of old chicken bones etc etc...

PS QUIZTIME: WHAT is the connexion between these 2 pictures?...:

  5. Gleds,
    I've come back!!

    BTW, I can't eat tomatoes, once I put them in my mouth I gag and almost puke, I'm not even kidding. I don't know why, but tomatoes are not my friends.

    I've missed you in my like month and a half absence.

    Anyway, I shall check ya later!

  6. How come you got free tomatoes? Did you nick them...surely not, Gleds. They do look nice though (presuming they're the ones in the photo). I love tommy toes, I have to have them in the house at all times...just in case I want to eat them.

  7. Syd: I was thinking of growing some but couldn't be bothered...

    Liz: absolutely correct! (Margaret is the one on the left, in case anybody's wondering...)

    Jeannie: oh that's just the sad labelling. They were wrapped in packs of 4 which cost 50p each apparently. Plain old ordinary tomatoes I'm afraid...

    SB: ;->...

    Lucinda: I'm glad you're OK.. what were you doing???

    Pussinboots: no but they're practically the same... I FOUND the joblot lying in a puddle, one single day past "best before"...

  8. I presume the tomatoes were packaged? If not I hope you washed them first? ;)
