Abide With Me... Westenra version

WHAT do you think of this? Love it or hate it?

I love the tune~ but the vocal's a bit... "sharp"~ don't you think~??



If anyone can find me a better version off youtube/whatever I'd be much obliged.

    Hate it!!!! Always hated hymns ... however, I do like Gregorian chant :D xx

    I like it, beautiful voice.

    On another note- you've probably heard of Frankie Lymon and his death from an H OD in 1968, but I didn't realize that he'd just finished recording a couple songs before he died that would have taken him in a whole new direction:

    I think she's a bit shrill. A wonderful "unique" tone that will hopefully sound far better when she's in her 30s and 40s...

    Abide with me I like a lot. It's on high velocity regular play on one of the radio stations I listen to

    Dreadful - hated it ... sorry.

    O thank you. I thought I was gonna go nuts if I had to sit through 55,000 versions

    and why do people take personal cameras into gigs and post up dreadfully shaky imagery with almost no sound of professional performers whose properly filmed gig footage is available anyhow? that is an utter waste of Youtube...

    ps you don't have to apologize. I didn't like it v much either. It's a choral piece. Doesn't really benefit from a solo voice ...
