Snowball the Cockatoo, dancing to Backstreet Boys...

WHO SAID white men can't dance..? White birds can! Here's Snowball the sulphur-crested cockatoo, native to Australia, but resident in Indiana, USA, dancing to the Backstreet Boys.

Owner Irene Schulz, who got Snowball from the bird rescue centre called Bird Lovers Only she runs with her husband Chuck said she nearly fell over backwards with shock when she first saw the white parrot's polished performance.

Thanks to Youtube, Snowball is now world famous ~ and has also found his way onto numerous Animals Do the Craziest Things type TV shows across the globe.

"He makes a great spokesbird for the rescue," said Irene's husband Chuck Schulz, who co-manages the lost birds centre.

And Snowball has at last found his permanent home. "He's my baby," said Irena Schulz, referring rpesumably to the cockatoo and not her husband: "He will stay here and be loved."

I first heard of Snowball the cockatoo's amazing talents at Bimbimbie's "place of the birds" blog... then he was on Channel 4's Rude Tube show...

  3. He deserves his fame*!*

Do you suppose he teaches those moves to the other rescued birds to cheer them up whilst they are being nursed back to wellness ... I like to imagine he does.

    Smiles to you Gleds.
