The Drugs Don't Work

THEY DON'T WORK don't work don't work... don't work anymore. Don't feel anything good. (Not good enough.) Not good enough to justify the price. Heroin is boring. Have to mix in crack. Still not good enough. Does not work. Except in the very short term of five-ten minutes. Not worth it. NOT WORTH IT ANY MORE.

SO I'M FOCUSING ON MY PIE instead... have a bag of ingredients here... mutton cubes (about 1.4lbs ie about 650g):~ so it IS a true shepherd's pie; albeit cubular..., paprika powder, powdered ginger, potaotes (for the top), onions (for the pie + the top):~ herbs from Mother Hubbard's garden (fresh rosemary and sage); I have thyme (dried) at home... have field mushrooms too... off to buy Lee & Perrins + cheese for in/on potato topping...

... cookery is my best antidepressant...

  1. Sounds a good idea!

Crack Cocaine most be the ultimate evil ever created.

The high of the instant, God for five seconds, then nothing.

Make yourself something tasty, and savour it!

  2. Gleds keep cooking . . .and I mean 'food'. Any distraction to keep you off that stuff has to be a move in the right direction.

  3. Sounds tasty. The shepards pie not the crack of course. I'm too lazy to cook such fine vitals. As a result I weigh less now than when I started college. It's hard to believe anyone could lose weight for being lazy, but there you have it. I'm a mess.

  5. Although food could be consider as a drug in North America given people's weird way of feeding themselves, I agree on the fact cooking veggies is way better than cooking heroin.

    That's the spirit!

  14. I made a Mexican shepherds pie last week.
I cooked up the beef with cumin and chilies. Thickened it with chicken stock and roux. Added the peas and carrots. Then topped it with some too thick potato, cheddar and jalapeƱo soup that I had made a couple days prior.
After some time in the oven, it was a spicy delicacy that would be hard to reproduce.
    Viva Leftovers!
(Cooking is my favorite distraction, too!)
