Not Seeing My Mum

I'M NOT GOING TO SEE MY MUM TODAY because my stepdad has "manflu". He is in their conservatory sneezing with a common cold. In a way I'm pretty relieved as, having blown so much money ~ on books(!) ~ I can barely afford to get to the out-of-town railway station they wanted to meet at, let alone pay for anything else!

So the date has been pushed back to next week. And hopefully man-flu, piggery flu and no other type of flu will have attacked anyone else of us by then!

LAUGHING BABY:
I find this advert so entertaining!

... and the one I'm looking for isn't there (how typical) ... but this one's arguably even better:

COW & GATE GROWING-UP MILK ...
o here we are; here's the ad I find so very entertaining ~~
everything from the ting~ting~ting to the baby's face, the milk pot, everything ~ but especially the laughter and the mother's "you've done us right proud!" cheekgrabbing:~~

PS I'm reading my blog back on Firefox... does anyone else use that?
It makes my pages look like they were composited in 1825!

  1. Hi Gleds ~~ Glad you really liked
the donkey story. I did too.

I hope the flue clears up for your Mum's husband and that she doesn't get it. You sure do not want any sort of flue.
Have you tried single therapy? It
    might be better than group.
Take care and look after yourself.
    Regards, Merle.

  6. Take care and watch out for the swiney flu. I do use Firefox. I don't see any problems with how your pages look.

  9. Ah shame you wont get to catch up but personally I prefer people to stay away if they're snot boxes. Why don't we give toddlers natural, normal milk? And I always use Firefox. Way more stable than IE. Your page looks fine.

  11. MERLE:I hope someone throws mud down a well like that if I ever get trapped down...

SALLY: I'd rather feel cold! Hence my total heating-offness at the moment!

    OXY: and you are..??

SB: but it DOES look 1925.. if not 1815...

    AKELAMALU: very wise!

  12. SYD: but compare it to how it looks on normal and the internet explorer pages look about 200 years more modern! I dunno why as surely a collection of dots on a screen is a collection of dots on a screen, whatever browser you're using...

LIZ: how long and what substances do you think were involved in getting those babies to be quite that merry..!!!

JEANNIE: Firefox is supposed to be far faster. Also it doesn't have ridiculously irrelevant security warnings, e.g. when a comments box comes up like this one!

BAINO: I'm using it now, though it DOES make the page look subtly different...

    ANON: non merci!
