Dreams

I keep having dreams. Vivid dreams.

I dream of girls I knew from college.

The first dream was of a girl I had a thing about. She looked like Darryl Hannah.

In the dream she was horribly disabled and paralysed.

But her eyes had the same smile.

The second was a true friend who genuinely cared.

Yet I still fell into deep water...

ROBBIE WILLIAMS: FEEL
Last time I saw Darryl Hannah was in this clip.
In case you come from Mars (or America!) and don't know it, it's a top tune.
This is the least-intrusively subtitled one I could find. And every one was subtitled in one Mediterranean language or other!

ALFIE THE NORWICH TERRIER PLAYS FOOTBALL
...with a ball that's bigger than he is!!

  1. I saw her in some interview a while back - she had aged some - but I guess we all have and she's held together better than most.

    Love that song.

i also heard lots of americans mistake him for the star of dead poets society and flubber...

    (is this true?)

  3. I love Robbie Williams! He is so honest and fights weight problems and is very talented and I just dig him.

    Love you, Gledds.

  4. Forgot to add that most Americans don't know who Robbie is. Too bad for them.

  6. SB: Apparently he's got a gold disc in America. Pretty good for an "unknown"!!

Feel is my favourite song by him.

    Syd: Me too!

I don't agree with these drs who say we dream all the time, every night (well 0.5 the time)... they mean "thinking when you're asleep, your eyes are flickering. Not the same as a truly vivid dream!

  7. Can't speak for the States but Robbie is fairly well known in Canada if I've heard of him. Esp as an artist has to either REALLY appeal to me (and that would be release 3 - 5) or be so popular that their stuff gets played until I want to get a shotgun before I put the song and artist together.

I had to google Flubber - how could people get him mixed up with Robin Williams? ok the name is similar but it's an entirely different genre of entertainment. And Robbie is so much better looking.

  8. Aye! That WAS Robin Williams in Flubber, weren't it? I wasn't 100% sure it wasn't Eddie Murphy... or was it Eddie Murphy as well..!?

Oasis were also huge here in the 1990s, but we heard stories of them playing tiny venues in the States and basically packing up and flying home... couldn't stand the humiliation!!
