We used to raise rabbits. I want and angora after I learn to spin wool-- I am envious of my friends who spin and who have rabbits because I, too, want to learn to "spin the bunnies."
Are there any long haired hamsters? Tell me, can you spin them?
The long-haired hamsters you get are the Syrian hamster which is like my picture. The shorthaired Russian hamsters have beautifully soft fur bc they come from Siberia; if you could spin that it would be amazing but it would take a lifetime trying to collect enough! So how do you harvest angora fur? Is it like stroking a moultong cat; it just comes off..?
