My Video Blog

STOP PRESS: IGNORE THE BELOW. I knew about "embed"... for some reason couldn't find/overlooked it. I just copied that html and dropped it in the new blog in compose mode, not html editor as someone said in these comments. Thanks for all the advice. Why was I meant to be opening a Youtube account then? There's a button under each vid on their site saying "post" and that is how I got in that pickle ...

Go to my first "video post" by clicking here...

Thanks Ruth. (It was your idea.)

I am TRYING to open a video blog. Which will consist of just Youtube & other screens with a tiny little write up and comments. So you can watch whatever I find without leaving my "wonderful" site ... (yeah, right ...)

I tried 3 times. (Maybe my mistake was three times in a row.) To open this Youtube posting account.

What have I done wrong? Now every username and password I gave are being declared ineligable?

Help me! Someone! Pukka advice required now.

(Please.)

Thanxx ever so much ...

OK. I managed to open a Youtube account. Well::kind of... At no point during this process was I asked my blog url. I activated the accout via email. Then when I wanted to post the first video up to the new blog (not this one, not that it really matters) I got asked for a "username and password" which it kept on and on rejecting. What username and passoword? My youtube ones or blogger ones? Why would they want my blogger username and password. I have four blogger blogs so just those details wouldn't be enough anyhow.

What username. What password. I'd just enterted both to get to this page.

Why the hell does this have to be so complicated??

  1. Don't know why you can't open the account but when you get it sorted (in answer to your question on my blog)click on the video to watch it; copy the embed bit by the side (not the URL ones etc); then go to your post; go into Edit Hmtl and paste. It won't look like anythings worked (you may get a red cross box in Compose) until you go to Preview or Publish. Actually if you are using someone elses videos and not trying to upload your own do you need an account?

  2. I would imagine they asked you to enter a username etc when you opened the account? Maybe they want your email address and try using whatever your usual password is (unless you use loads...then try them all). Can't be of more help I'm afraid. Good Luck.

  5. When you watch a video on Youtube you will see at the right of the video URL and Embed, copy and past the code that you find in Embed in your new post of the blog, that should work.
Also while writting your new post on your blog, you should be in Edit html and not compose.

  6. Yeah, the embed thing should work. Are you on New Blogger or Old Blogger? Old Blogger could be giving you troubles.
