Hi, I would have written this in e-mail,but you don't advertise one. Feel free to delete , if you like. I just want to commend you on a comment you made in support of a mother' addicted daughter. Whilst all the other sheep reflected back what she wanted to hear, only you had the guts to defend the poor girl.
I left a big piece of my mind, not disguising my disgust at her lack of support/love for her own daughter at her site,but I am sure it will not be moderated.
It was lovely to see you having the guts to go against the grain nd speak out.
That wombat photo is soooooooo cute! I remember when we first came to Australia and they took us to a zoo and I said something like "ohmygod, it's a giant mouse!".
Did you know there are two types . . Tea N Crumpet might be interested to know there's a "Hairy Nosed Wombat" and a "Common Wombat". They do square poo and nobody knows how. I found one once in a public toilet but it growled so I decided to excercise my pelvic floor and made a hasty retreat! True story!
Uber: I WAS wondering why she didn't get any supplies inside but I don't know the local system. Here you get a tiny bit of money anyway but you have to work in the prison to get pin money for supplies. Then they pay about $5 a week American to cover toothpaste, etc etc But no the family's rather cold-seeming attitude I could not fathom...

We visited Featherdale Park just outside Sydney, Aus a good few years back and saw the Wombat that used to appear in one of their exported to England TV shows - can't remember which one. I expected to see something the size of a rat but Wombats are huge!
We had a programme a few years ago called "A Country Practice" which was about vets and it featured a tame wombat called Fatty. Then, during the Sydney Olympics, after the day's comps, at about 11 pm or later, there was a programme called "The Dream". It featured two comedians, Roy and HG, who dragged athletes in from various countries and "interviewed" them. I remember, apart from the English and Kiwis, the Afro-Americans were the only ones who clicked onto the Aussie sense of humour...with great gusto, too, I might add.
Anyway, Roy and HG had a mascot which was Fatty (I think) the Big Arsed Wombat. This show was quite a hit at the time and a lot of us would turn up to work looking bleary eyed from staying too late and watching "The Dream". It really was hilarious and Fatty the Big Arsed Wombat always featured quite predominantly. Just thought you'd like to know...
Aye, me neither. Though I DO remember the tame one from the Aussie soap "A country practice". I just thought it was a weird Australian animal, hadn't a clue what it was called, though I did think "I want one". Also how undignified that utube still with the poor critter's privates on display like that!!!
