I have to say as a latent hoarder that the thrifty side of greed and innate laziness coupled with a tendency toward sentimentality are at the heart of hoarding. Sometimes, it's too bothersome to sort through stuff - when you do, it's hard to part with those bits that might come in handy or the others that provoke a pleasant memory even though you never bother spending time with the crap unless you are considering pitching it. Meanwhile the might be handy stuff never actually is because you forget it's there or can't find it.
Gleds, I see you are still hobnobbing with the rich and famous!
thrifty side of greed?... that is fascinating!
me and the rich and famous?... but of course!!
I could not live like that. I would rather have a naked light bulb in a room with a floor mat and live like a monk.
